I have SO MANY interesting posts to respond to (it's been so busy here!) that I thought I may as well start from the most recent.

Hm. I thought the JH cover was a depiction of *TM spoilers*

Peottre and Elliania, as seen by Fitz through his Buckkeep peephole. It was the dark hair that drew me to that conclusion more than anything, though I think Peottre was bearded (will have to check the latter)?

As for the SY version, I have long taken it for granted that it was a depiction of

Fool/Lord Golden when he draped himself in a sheet prior to showing Fitz the tattoos that matched those of Elliania?

It was the light hair and the sheet that drew me to that conclusion.
